Casey Hudson and a fellow developer from Bioware sat down with IGN and YouTube to walk through the upcoming Mass Effect 3. Casey Hudson, one of the developers on Mass Effect 3, talked a little bit on the project.
Citing the game's revamped gameplay, he said “We've made the cover system work better as well as the shooting mechanics.” This rang true as the video behind the interview area showed some of the new upgrades. He also talked about one of the new weapons: the omniblade. Much like the plasma sword in the popular Halo series, the omniblade is a vicious melee weapon that kills in one fell swoop.
He when on to talk about how the different class-weapon combinations have become more varied; more classes can use more weapons. Furthermore, he wanted to talk about the story. He said, “Story, even though we've revamped the gameplay, is still pivotal of the Mass Effect franchise.”
In conclusion of the interview, he asked Casey about when the game would be released. “We're very pleased to announce that players will be able to get their hands on Mass Effect 3 for 360, PS3, and PC early next year.” Check out some amazing Mass Effect 3 Wallpapers here.
